I don't like to read informational books especially professional text books. Usually the writers of the books fail to remember that those of us reading them are at the beginning level of the profession which makes them hard to read. This book however is easy to read, formatted, organized, and written well and has a lot of useful information for those going into a health profession management position.

The first few chapters are written a bit theoretically. But the author then moves into clear presentation and applies management principles specifically to the healthcare field.

Easy to grasp all the concepts.

I've lived in Thailand for 11 years and have been to many of these places using this book- it's all as described. I've written a book about moving here and living a happy daily life in a northern city How I Moved to Thailand, Retired Early, Found Love, Built a Mansion, and Live Like a King on a Dime But the islands of Thailand, as described so well in this book...ah...still a tropical paradise! Still a dream!

Very informative read about the thai islands and beaches. It really helped me narrow down on places to stay and areas that most interests me. Highly recommended.

I couldn't even make it through the first book. The lead female character was such a jealous, whiny little bitch I honestly didn't understand why one) the hero was interested and two) how she still had any friends. We all get hurt, but she's over thirty and still acts like a high school girl with her first boyfriend. One of her buddies even says "You're growing up now, Emma. Good job!" She sees her hero with his cousin and flips out because she doesn't know who the other woman is, so what does she do? She flirts and leads on another man. Hello pot, this is the kettle calling.... I didn't even bother with the other two books, because why? If I hate this heroine, how could I enjoy a series that follows her and her friends?

The first story was all about Emmas insecurities. Almost to the point of crazy. After a while, she frankly just gave me a headache. 40 some odd chapters later, we came to the HEA. But, lordy, what a toll it, and Emma took on my nerves. Not to mention all the bro-ing going on with the men.The next story, of Pete and Holly, i enjoyed very much. When Pete and Jack were not bro-ing it to death. Bro this, bro that, every other sentence was bro something or other. It felt very contrived, and more than a little annoying. Bro aside, i enjoyed this one much more than the first story w crazy Emma. Tho Pete was the source of crazy to the point of ridiculous here, eventually, we got there. Great HEA, bro!The 3rd story, we are still bro-ing big time. Waaaay too much bro here bro there, bro, bro everywhere. It feels if the author once heard two guys speak, and assumed thats the way they all speak all the time. In every sentence that comes out of their mouths. By this point, its on my last nerve and Im trying to decide if its worth one more bro, just to finish the story.I did stick to it and finish, tho. The bro's finally tapered off after a while, no craziness in this one. For my money, the last story was by far the best. All would have been so much better without all the forced bro, bro, bro nonsense, and without so much craziness.

3 books, 3 graphically sex filled romance stories, all very similar. Language used to describe sexual encounters was virtually the same in all 3 books. Each female was flawed by insecurities that made fora difficult romance. All of the men were strong and successful.The author has the maddening practice of giving their male characters nick names for the females to call their men. It was so repetitive as to drive me crazy and spoil the story. The author could also have used a better proof reader as there were many grammatical errors.This was mindless reading. Only read these books if you have nothing better to do.

I reviewed the first and second books on their individual sites. I should have deleted this set before wasting my time reading the other two, but I hate leaving anything unfinished.All three have good story premises, but very poor execution in the writing.The third book is slightly better than the first two, but it is still full of the repetitions of the characters' percieved problems. The third book has more problems, but mentioned fewer times each.There are the same kinds of mistakes that an editor not afraid to use the red pencil would have, should have caught. (Punctuation errors, missing words, and the repetition which seemed to be just to lengthen the books.)

Language and sexual acts were uncalled for. Why can't the writer tone down the bad language - the f and c words, etc. and why does the writer go on about the sex. I will not be getting any more of this writer's books. Too racy. Too naughty. Keep it clean.

I want to tell you right now I have fallen for your writing. Emma and Jake, Holly and Pete, and Missy and Dan hence the connection Emma, Pete & Missy grew up in Summer Lake. I have already ordered and received the the EBook for Smoky & Laura there is a connection to Summer Lake for both however both have never lived there. SJ McCoy after only three books of yours I have now got you at #4 in list of authors. I am also going to order book 1 of the Remington Ranch series. Also I like the semi-colon reference I have suffered from depression around the holiday season since returning from Vietnam. On a happier note I encourage everyone you will not be disappointed if you read one of these 3 Books I am glad I did

I really enjoyed the first three books in this series. There were a few things that bothered me, but not enough to stop reading. In the first book, Scot is supposed to be 15, by the third book he's 14. In all books, the personality Scot was given was more of a 7/9 year old instead of a 14/15 year old.The first book was really good and I enjoyed hearing about" Mouse" and Jack. They had a very cute relationship and it was a good book for getting to know everyone. They did have a misunderstanding that was more of Emma not being confident in herself and their relationship.The second book was a good follow up from the first book with Pete and Holly. Holly is caught up in a bad deal left over from her Grandma and Pete wants to help. Holly doesn't want to get close to Pete since he can't commit. Pete can't commit since he's a planner and Holly was never part of the plan. He'll need to learn to re-evaluate his plan.The third book with Missy and Dan was cute. Missy had done everything on her own since having Scot. She does everything she can to make sure Scot has a good life. Dan originally came down to help break Scot out of his shell. Over a period of time he falls in love with Missy. Can Dan get Missy to love him back and let him help her?

Gardener's experience and efforts to preserve the Dory history and traditional construction detail in writing this book is impressive. The Dory Book is a balanced combination of history - the evolution of the type and it's many variants - and a builders commentary on traditional construction techniques that accompanies the many plans included.I would have preferred more balanced content with the traditional materials and building techniques - how to use current materials and tools to build the plans - compared to the limited references provided.Overall, though Gardner died in 1995 at age 90, the popularity of this book is testament to the fact he succeeded in his objective.

The Dory Book taught me a lot more than a hands on "course" for which I paid 900 canadian dollars... That said; John Gardner's books have the weight to stand up to their titles. Not only are they great reading, they feel good in your hands when you are reading them. Unlike many other books about boatbuilding which are more like infomercials to get you to buy plans, Gardners books have everything you need to build a boat if you do have the skills to do basic woodworking. I read this book in a week and marked the boats I would like to build. Even if I don't, I know I have the knowledge needed right on my dreams bookcase.

The Dory Book by John Gardner has proven time and again to be worth it's weight in gold from beginner to advanced boat builders. Edmund de Waal apprenticed as a potter in Canterbury, before studying in Japan and Cambridge. Today his porcelain is in thirty international museum collections: most recently he has created major installations for the V&A and Tate Britain. This is an exceptional book. Each pot is illustrated with a full-page color photograph of high quality in this large format book; the photographs seem to have been taken especially for this publication. The captions below the photographs qualify as short essays dealing with, possibly, the artist, a tradition, art history, or an aspect of the technique involved in making the specific pot. These captions are highly stimulating and make the book far more than just a picture book of carefully selected clay pots from diverse traditions in time and space. I come away from The Pot Book, each time I look through it, with a keen sense of Edmund de Waal's polymorphic sensibility. Claudia Clare, with whom the book was co-written and co-edited, should be noted for her contributions.The present location of each pot is not listed with its illustration, but consigned to a dense page of picture credits on the next to last page of the book. A poor decision in an otherwise excellent treatment of clay works.

An very unusual way of looking at the history of pots, but good. Each page is about a maker or technique or type of pot in an interesting way. It is a world view of the pot and it's makers which everyone needs instead of an American view of this form. Great photos and reference read.

This book is arranged alphabetically and as you page through it you see a huge variety of wonderful pottery. I teach ceramics and it is a fabulous teaching tool. I disassembled the book so we can look at pages individually for discussion and also for display. I think the publisher should to a boxed edition of images just for this purpose.

I chose this book as I really like picture books for starters, but I like the way it was photographed and narrated and covered many styles and era's. Lots of really interesting facts but not too lengthy in its description. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested not only in ceramics, pottery or history, as it's just a lovely record of how gifted some people are.
