A compelling , raw , eye opening read. I’ve known the author for over 20 years. He told us a very complicated story in a way that was easy to follow which is brilliant. I think this is a must read for all people. Our legal system is flawed yet a good man at the end had a good outcome. Truth and integrity won! Kudos to you Sam Kaufman well done.....
How an individual can be dragged through the legal system like this is mind boggling. The fact that the verdict could have easily gone the other way is equally as disturbing. A must-read to understand how complicated and outrageous litigation can be these days.
Anyone can be charged with anything and a jury can be convinced, but not this time. Difficult times. Ended well.

1st, let me just tell you that Samuel Kaufman was my OB/GYN from 1992 until 2017 and I only stopped seeing him because I moved out of state. This man is the real deal. Very kind, gentle and has a great sense of humor. I was very lucky to have him and Dr. Rudolph "Jane", be the 2 Dr's in charge of my care during my pregnancy and subsequent birth. If I had had 20 children, I would have wanted him as my OB.I know he is published in medical journals, but writing a book is a much different audience and I think he did a great job. I believe that a lot of things in our government need to be reviewed and over hauled and our court system is no different.Kudos Dr. K!Pee Wee Reese

Dr.Kaufman's riveting story about how a family's need for blame to explain their child's debilitating disease reflected on his upstanding reputation and commitment to his patients. At times the cast of characters seem like they are stolen from a movie set; yet the reality had deep impact on the innocent. Dr. Kaufman fulfilled his goal of educating not only other physicians about the muck and mire of malpractice but also brought the reality of consequences to the public and lawmakers. It's a great read and should be made into a movie or tv series!
