It is packed full of useful information to prepare for your journey - getting you up to speed on luggage, visa, health precautions, fitness preparations and (most importantly for me) cost breakdowns. I'm already starting to save! Centrally, it also contains an in-depth guide to places to go when you (finally) get there.Let the odyssey begin!
A good reading guide if you are planning that once in a lifetime trip to Antarctica!!! There were many helpful hints and very good references to make this adventure a reality.
Quick easy read. Good information.
I’m not planning on visit Antarctica soon, since it’s so expensive, but at least I could read this book and dream about this trip. Perfect book for anybody who wants to live a great adventure.
I had no idea you could go skiing on the South Pole or dive in the Antarctic waters. It sounds like an amazing experience, although quite costly. Anyway, the book provided a pleasant escape from the daily routine. Recommended!
Good quick read, not a reference. Information is too general. [Don't know why Amazon requires me to use more words in this review when I have nothing else to say.]
Interesting reading, but not very long.
Finally a book that gave me exactly what I needed in planning a trip to Antarctica. I've traveled to so many places in my life, but this one is NEXT on my radar!
