I'm using this book for a college course, but I'm actually enjoying reading it! (Shockingly!)The stories are not too long, and they cover (so far) the various issues that Mexican-Americans/Latinos faced (and still face today).I like that before each author's story/poem/essay there is a brief introduction about the author.
I needed this book for a Multicultural literature course I was taking and loved the material so much that I read through the entire thing, not just the stories required for the class. Dagoberto Gilb and Ricardo Gilb did an amazing job with putting this collection together.
I love this book! I love the poems and short stories. I bought it for a class I am taking in school. Shipped fast and in good condition.
