This is a well constructed book and it spans a vast area of sailing - maybe too vast because necessarily some treatment is general.If you are looking for something that is class specific this book is still very helpful but may not yield all the answers needed.I would support a subscription version where bye updates and new chapters are added from time to time.Overall though I am very pleased with the book. Easy to read and full of very useful advice and understanding. Good value.
This book covers common sail materials and manufacturing techniques. It describes the advantages and disadvantages of each material. Advanced sail trim techniques are also covered. The single most useful and complete book on sail trim and sail materials I have come across. I do own many books on this subject and "Maximum Sail Power" is by far the best!
